Welcome to Nursery

The Nursery Teachers are: Mrs Haslam and Miss Fowler

We also have two Senior Early Year Practitioners (NNEB) who are: Mrs Jones and Mrs Lewis

Miss Brown also works in Nursery as an Early Years Practitioner.

This half term we have also welcomed another Miss Brown into our setting. Miss Brown is training to become a teacher at the University of Wolverhampton.

Every Thursday this term, your child will take part in Willow School. Please make sure your child brings wellies and a coat with them.

In Letters and Sounds we have know learnt all of the Phase 2 sounds and are beginning to learn the phase 3 sounds. Some of us are learning to segment and blend words. We have also practised rhyming and have been working hard on our listening skills.

Our topic this term is 'Our World'. We have begun by looking at minibeasts. The children have enjoyed reading the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. We are hoping to get our own hungry caterpillars next week. The children are excited to see them turn into butterflies!

To prepare some of the older children who will be going to school in September, we have been practicing our writing. We have learnt to hear initial sounds and enjoy trying to write them down. We have been learning to recognise our numbers from 0-10 and put them in order.
